The Nostalgia of Liver and Bacon

My father was a great man for liver and bacon especially the way my mother made it.  Lots of onions, crispy bacon and the tenderest of tender liver.  Funny how history repeats itself at the hotel as today one of our best sellers in the restaurant  is the Liver & Bacon that features on our weekly lunch menu.People travel from all over to eat in our restaurant, and even though we do say so, its getting quite a reputation.   It got us thinking of what food make you nostalgic?  Maybe its your grannies potato bread or sunday roast.  Whatever it is, we'd love to hear and maybe we'll even put it on the menu!
