It could easily be argued that The Lady of the Lake Festival is the most exciting time of the year for Mahon’s Hotel. Whilst we enjoy all the major holidays – Christmas, St Patrick’s Day, Fishing Season and more, there is something about our community festival that hits differently.
Of course, for personal reasons the festival is held dearly in the hearts of the Mahon family. Every year seeing it return and the wider community asking questions, speculating and preparing makes the build up alone a special time of year. Hectic, yes, but exceptionally busy.
Joe was recently interviewed by Fermanagh Lakelands. You can read this here. Although we know many of the stories, it never ceases to amaze us and we hope, you too, how far the festival has come. Also how much of an impact it has had on the community and the hotel as well.
