1982

When Vincent died his son Joe was studying in Manchester, preparing himself in Hotel Management. He returned home in 1982 to work alongside his mother.

In 1985, as a lot of the rooms were not ensuite, the family carried out further renovations making all the rooms ensuite.

This meant that the hotel could offer nineteen ensuite rooms and it had the benefit of creating additional space in the restaurant.
